[glow=Red,2,300]NOTE: This is my first roleplaying experience! I am a newb! Please keep this in mind when interacting with me![/glow]
Name: Daniel P. Olive
Gender: Male
Species: Red Fox
Age:17
Occupation or class group:Freshman
Physical Description: Daniel is a completely normal looking anthropomorphic Fox. He is about 5 feet 6 inches tall, and is of a medium to skinny build. He is usually seen wearing simple clothing, commonly a plain pear green shirt and gray jeans (although he may change his shirt depending on day, season, mood, etc.). When in wintertime he wears a worn brown cloth jacket. He has relatively good eyesight, but wears circular rimmed glasses when not participating in physical activities. He does not wear shoes but wears hiking boots in winter or when in areas with rough ground. He tends to get around on a bicycle or his own two feet.
History: Daniel is generally an open person, but when asked about his past he will try to change the subject or will ignore what has been said. Because of his secrecy or just plain non-interest in questioning about it, his life before Golden Oaks is not well known. From what has been gathered, he lived in a suburban or countryside area before and is unused to city life. He has always been well-educated and had access to educational material, leading to some of the suspicions of his being from a suburban area. He has not, however, directly said anything confirming or denying this.
He has parents who have shown great love for their son and particular care in making sure he is well looked-after, but have also expressed helplessness in looking after him and caring for him properly. Daniel's problems are completely psychological and are not related to anything physically done to him. He is known to have his problems after a moment of disorientation and occasionally a seizure if he is having a more violent attack. Daniel has sporadic mood swings, accompanied by short term memory loss, leading most psychologists who have worked with him to believe he has alternate personalities. During these short phases (the longest of which lasting up to 45 minutes) he will exhibit unusual behavior such as anger or a short temper, paranoia and an urge to flee the area, or involuntary muscle spasms and eyes that aren't focused properly, the least common symptoms are anger and rage and these are usually proceeded by a seizure. Because of his condition it is recommended that his teachers and other building staff be notified of his personality changes and be trained in how to recognize such events.
When asked, he has little to no memory of what transpires while under these conditions, (excepting muscle spasms, during which he will be perfectly conscious) and during attacks will not remember what he was doing just prior to the onset of the attack. Phases range in intensity and for slight ones it is not always necessary to take action or administer any sort of tranquilizer, though such a treatment is recommended for more serious attacks. The intensity of these can be lowered by putting him near his friends more often. Occurrences are more or less bi-weekly although if under stress he may have them more often. They can occur during night time or sleep, which will either result in bad dreams, sleepwalking, thrashing in bed, talking in sleep, or rarely visions. These visions seem to be in connection with past or future events and are always fully retained in Daniel's memory. Because of this, it is suggested he might have some sort of hidden power or might be descended from a powerful being or animal.
Personality: Medical difficulties aside, Daniel is a kind and friendly fox who has nothing much out of the ordinary. Reading is one of his favorite pastimes and he reads both fiction and nonfiction. Because of this he has a very expansive knowledge and is familiar with a great deal of subjects, helping others out any way he can is just something he does. He was raised well and develops strong relationships with those he deems his friends. Daniel makes friends quickly with those he enjoys being with, but often finds it hard to introduce himself to others and more often makes friends with either those less popular in the community ('society's dregs' as that class is sometimes referred to). He has no love relationships, and has yet to find a girl he really wants to date. He lives a lifestyle of moderate sophistication, sometimes preferring only to have high quality goods (for example, his fondness towards foreign lemon sodas and refusal to drink cheap, artificial lemonade). Some of his hobbies include reading, research and study, archery, hiking or bicycling, food critique, and talking to friends. Most contemporary sports are of no interest to Daniel.
As a person, Daniel is a bit shy but is extremely friendly and rather talkative once you get to know him. He has no qualms about dealing with others who are psychologically or physically disabled/inhibited and rather enjoys helping out such people. He does not want to get involved with drugs, violence, or other illegal activities, and if tempted to, he will either try to convince the tempter to stop the activity or will report it to an authority. Being a model student and citizen is one of his main goals in life, but it is hindered by his condition and he finds that frustrating. Daniel also is sometimes misunderstood by his peers and can get into socially awkward situations if no one tries to help him or if he does not find any friends in a group he is with. As he has only small amounts of experience with martial arts, he is interested in learning it and believes positively focusing his energy might help with his condition.
